FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NEW YORK — April 27, 2026 — The American Society for AI (ASFAI) today launched AI for Humanity: Human-Centered Strategies for Innovation and Impact, a global anthology and interactive platform developed by more than 40 volunteer contributors to help ensure artificial intelligence advances societal good.

Released during Global Volunteer Month, the initiative brings together leaders across academia, industry, government, and civil society to translate complex AI challenges into practical guidance for leaders, professionals, educators and communities.

“Since day one, the American Society for AI has operated on a simple belief: bring good people together and good things happen,” said Rei Llazani, ASFAI Chairman. “This anthology and platform are one step in a longer journey to align AI innovation with dignity, fairness and shared prosperity.”

Led by Elizabeth Ngonzi, ASFAI Board Member and Chair of the Ethics Committee, the anthology combines full-length chapters with an interactive digital experience designed to meet users across formats, including reading, video, audio and conversational AI. The platform incorporates tools such as NotebookLM and Gamma to make expert insights more accessible and actionable.

The anthology was first introduced as a prototype during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos and has since evolved into a full platform shaped by global feedback. It now features more than 35 chapters spanning education, business, governance, national security and community impact, connecting high-level AI principles to real-world applications.

“AI for Humanity is a testament to the power of collective service,” said Ngonzi. “Our contributors have built a practical resource that uses technology to amplify human judgment, not replace it.”

Contributors include leaders across ethics, technology, science and public service, reflecting a cross-sector effort to define how AI can be deployed responsibly and effectively.

The anthology is available at https://asfai.org/anthology, with an interactive platform at https://aiforhumanity.io and a conversational AI experience at https://tinyurl.com/AIforHumanityNotebook.
